A passenger pointed a laser at the airport tower and other aircraft before takeoff.

In a rare incident, a passenger on a Pegasus flight from Sabiha Gökçen Airport to Antalya in Turkey pointed a laser at the airport tower and other aircraft prior to takeoff. The tower detected the laser and informed the cockpit crew of flight PC2026. There was a temporary disruption in airport traffic as a result. The cockpit crew then contacted the cabin crew to identify the passenger, with the help of other passengers. After landing in Antalya, the passenger was detained and a report was filed. It is important to note that pointing lasers at aircraft can have serious consequences, such as reducing pilot visibility or causing loss of vision. In the United States, the penalty for such an offense can be up to 5 years in prison and a fine of $250,000
