In a rare incident, a passenger on a Pegasus flight from Sabiha Gökçen Airport to Antalya in Turkey pointed a laser at the airport tower and other aircraft prior to takeoff. The tower detected the laser and informed the cockpit crew of flight PC2026. There was a temporary disruption in airport traffic as a result. The cockpit crew then contacted the cabin crew to identify the passenger, with the help of other passengers. After landing in Antalya, the passenger was detained and a report was filed. It is important to note that pointing lasers at aircraft can have serious consequences, such as reducing pilot visibility or causing loss of vision.
