Senior Vice President Media Relations of Turkish Airlines Yahya Ustun announced.

Ustun: “As a result of the preliminary examination of the authorities following the incident on Alaska Airlines’ Boeing 737 MAX 9 aircraft, 5 Boeing 737 MAX 9 aircraft in the Turkish Airlines fleet were also requested to be examined for precautionary purposes.

Until the technical investigation process is completed and the measures requested by the authorities are taken, Turkish Airlines has decided to withdraw the 5 Boeing 737 MAX 9 aircraft from operation at the airport where they will first land.
